The Carolina Panthers have been busy since they hired Scott Fitterer to replace Marty Hurney as general manager.
Sometimes where there’s smoke there’s fire, and the idea of the Carolina Panthers trading for Houston Texans star quarterback Deshaun Watson is starting to get warmer every day. According to a report by David Newton of ESPN, Carolina plans to make a “strong run” at Watson if Houston grants his request for a trade.
This isn’t exactly breaking news. Ian Rapoport at NFL Network reported weeks ago that the Panthers would be “aggressive” in trying to acquire Watson.
