Allegheny Health Network’s freezers set to receive COVID-19 vaccines – WTAE Pittsburgh

AHN leaders said 22 freezers are designated for their hospitals and other facilities.

ZELIENOPLE, Pa. —A very chilly reception awaits the COVID-19 vaccine within the Allegheny Health Network hospitals.
Two different models used by the health care provider feature deep freeze housing units to store the vaccine one set at -91 degrees and the other set at -28 degrees, essential modes to protect the vaccine.
However, AHN Vice President of Pharmacy Laura Mark said the public should not be concerned when the vaccine is administered.
